Dominique Campana began learning the art of mouthblown glassmaking with his father at the age of 7. At 15, he became his father's apprentice at the "Verrerie Corse", the hot glass studio thant the late Ange Campana established in 1975.
Over the years, Dominique worked with his father and at the same time was able to create his own unique style of glassmaking using the techniques he learned at a very young age and incorporating ideas about this art learned from other glassmakers and during travers in Europe and to the United States. Having practiced this craft for more than 30 years he qualifies for the title of "Maître Verrier" or master glassblower. |
